The Central Community Care Access Centre (CCAC) is pleased to announce the launch of its inaugural Heroes in the Home Caregiver Recognition Awards.
Heroes in the Home is a chance to say 'thank you' in a very special way to the caregivers who make it possible for people to stay safe, healthier and able to manage living in their own home.
These heroes are the family members, friends or community volunteers who step up to provide loving care and that extra little bit of support, day in and day out. And the health professionals, such as personal support workers, care coordinators, nurses and therapists, who go above and beyond the call of duty.
Do you know someone who is a hero? It could be a neighbour who brings meals to an elderly
person, a family member who helps care for someone who is ill, a personal support worker
or other health care professional that goes the extra mile.
All heroes will be honoured and receive a
certificate of recognition at a special ceremony on June 18, 2015 in Markham.
