On October 27, 2016, the Central Community Care Access Centre (CCAC) celebrated the official opening of its eighth community nursing clinic, located at 10660 Yonge Street, Richmond Hill. Our newest clinic provides an additional convenient location for York region residents to receive safe, high quality nursing care that helps them heal faster and feel better.
Staffed by nurses with specialized training, the Richmond Hill clinic provides IV therapy, wound care, injections and post-surgical care for patients who are able to travel to appointments outside of their home.
Located close to hospitals, Central CCAC clinics are a great alternative for people who require a follow-up visit after a hospital stay. The clinics operate seven days a week, with extended evening hours, giving patients the opportunity to schedule visits at a time that best suits them.
Central CCAC's clinics also help increase access to services, particularly in underserviced areas. In 2015-2016, Central CCAC provided quality, cost-effective, specialized nursing care to 9,200 patients through our community clinics.
Nursing care at the Richmond Hill clinic is provided by Central CCAC's care partner Saint Elizabeth Health Care.
