Musculoskeletal (MSK) Rapid Access Clinics
As part of a province-wide MSK initiative, a Central Intake and Rapid Access Clinic (RAC) model of care is available for patients with hip and knee osteoarthritis or low back pain. These clinics provide timely and appropriate access to quality care for residents with musculoskeletal conditions.
Patients are connected with regulated healthcare professionals who provide comprehensive assessments, education about their condition, and tools to help better manage their condition. Patients may be referred to an orthopaedic surgeon and receive other supports where necessary. Primary care providers are also informed of the recommended course of treatment at each step.
