Champlain CCAC Awarded Platinum in the Quality Healthcare Workplace Awards

Platinum-level Award Sustained for Second Consecutive Year

OTTAWA — The Champlain Community Care Access Centre (CCAC) has been named a platinum-level award winner of the Quality Healthcare Workplace Awards sponsored by the Ontario Hospital Association (OHA) and the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care. The award recognizes the Champlain CCAC's commitment to creating a positive workplace environment that supports high-quality care.

It is the second consecutive year that the Champlain CCAC has achieved a platinum-level award.

The award was presented on November 3th at the OHA's Annual HealthAchieve Conference. The Champlain CCAC along with four other leading health organizations comprise the five winners at the platinum level. A high-calibre panel of quality workplace experts completed a rigorous review of dozens of Ontario health care organizations in order to determine award levels of Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum.

The prestigious award recognizes health care organizations that have progressively improved their staff's quality of work-life along with the quality of care and services they deliver. The quality of a work environment is a key determinant of a high-performing health care organization.

"We are thrilled to win a platinum-level award for the second year in a row," said Marc Sougavinski, Chief Executive Officer. "This recognition is a testament to our belief that providing excellent care starts with fostering a high-quality workplace."
