The Erie St. Clair Community Care Access Centre is excited to announce our Patient Advisor, Bill Holling, has been selected to sit on a new advisory council with Health Quality Ontario.
Bill, a Chatham resident, has been an active member of our Patient Advisors squad, attending speaking engagements, providing feedback to staff and taking part in our Strategic Accountability Planning Sessions.
Now, Bill is the only representative south of Kitchener-Waterloo on Health Quality Ontario's Patient, Family and Public Advisors Council. The 16 council members will serve a two-year term during which they participate in quarterly sessions. Through these in-depth discussions, the Advisors Council examines HQO's strategic priorities and provides input on how to improve these areas. In addition to the work of the volunteers in the broader Patient, Family and Public Advisors Program, the Advisors Council helps contribute to HQO's goal of fostering a culture that recognizes patient, family and public engagement as core to improving the quality of health care that patients receive.
Bill begins his orientation with the council later this month in Toronto.
