The Ontario Association of Community Care Access Centres (OACCAC) has published an incredible four-part series of papers entitled Health Comes Home: A Conversation about the Future of Care. This series examines health care in Ontario and the important questions that need to be asked as Ontario prepares for the significant demographic changes that will occur in the next 5 to 25 years.
The four papers can be found on a new interactive website – www.moreandless.ca – that presents facts about our health care system in a way that is easy to understand. Visitors to the site can view 'Just the Facts' presented in a visual manner and they can also view the in-depth papers in PDF format – The Future of Care, Aging and Chronic Care, Children with Complex Needs and Launching the Conversation.
Visitors to the website are encouraged to join in the conversation about the future of health care in Ontario by using the hashtag #moreandless on their social media channels. It is hoped that this conversation on the future of care can begin with a shared understanding of where we are going and the resolve to take the journey together.
