Chatham, ON – About 200 people attended the 3rd annual Heroes In The Home events over the last week in Windsor, Sarnia and Chatham.
Those in attendance helped celebrate and share the stories of the 67 inspirational and dedicated caregivers who received the recognition this year.
"Certainly people don't do it for the recognition," said Erie St. Clair Community Care Access Centre CEO Lori Marshall. "Still, it's very important that we take the time to honour the incredible contribution that family members, friends, neighbours, as well as paid caregivers, make in helping to support people who are living at home. It's just incredible when you hear the stories of what the human spirit is all about."
The 2015 Heroes In The Home for Erie St. Clair are:
|Windsor Heroes||Sarnia Heroes||Chatham Heroes|
Jacob Van Dongen
Elizabeth "Betty" Hoover
Jon Ann Meko
Brandy Girard Simpson
Betty Ann Chase
