Now in its third year of operation, www.northeasthealthline.ca continues to set new benchmarks for success in providing the public, patients and health care providers with information about health care resources available in communities across northeastern Ontario. From April to December 2015, the website registered over 525,000 page views, more than 230,000 site visits, and 150,000+ unique visitors.
A number of new features are also in the works which will add value for both visitors and health system partners alike.
"We have just launched a Community Support Services regional sub-site, and will be rolling out a new mini-site in conjunction with ConnexOntario that deals specifically with resources for mental health and addictions," affirms Mathieu Litalien, Manager, Care Coordination. "The healthline website has become one of the most comprehensive healthcare resource guides available in the province and has proven to be a real catalyst for partnership building across the North East."
Litalien points out that health care partners with news to share about upcoming events, information sessions, even career opportunities, can enter that information using the tabs at the bottom of the website's main page to reach out to thousands of citizens who visit www.northeasthealthine.ca on a regular basis.
"The website is only as accurate as the profiles that are provided," Litalien adds. "We encourage all of our 3000+ participating partners to review their profiles on a regular basis by clicking on Submit Content, and then selecting 'update your service profile."
If you would like your health care program, service or agency to be featured on this valuable web-based resource, simply go to www.northeasthealthline.ca, click on 'suggest a new service profile,' enter your information and hit 'Submit Service.' Once reviewed and verified by North East CCAC staff, your new profile will be promptly posted.
