North West CCAC area covers 458,010 square kilometres.
Our catchment area encompasses a land mass equivalent to 47% of the Province of Ontario and extends from White River in the East to the Manitoba border in the West, to James Bay and Hudson Bay in the North and to the United States border in the South.
Other than the City of Thunder Bay, the majority of the North West CCAC is rural/remote in nature.
With an area population of 224,034 (based on 2011 census data), we serve approximately 13,000 clients annually. We have 160 dedicated staff members, with 13 offices in communities throughout our area. Each year our employees complete in excess of 10,000 visits with people to talk about what services they need to be as independent as possible, while on any given day, more than 4,500 people receive services from the North West CCAC.
