Job Summary:

The South West Community Care Access Centre wishes to recruit an accomplished leader to the role of Director of Quality. Reporting to the Vice President, Patient Care, the Director of Quality is responsible for the planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of an organizational Quality Management system in alignment with organization-wide strategic and operational plans.  Some of the key accountabilities include evaluation of key strategic initiatives that strengthen and support the organization's quality strategies, ensuring integrated service delivery excellence, and supporting the South West Community Care Access Centre's leadership in an integrated health system. Other accountabilities include organizational and patient risk management, safety promotion, ethics management, event management, emergency management and accreditation. As a member of an inter-disciplinary team, this role contributes to closely aligning patient care to ensure that the highest quality of care exists throughout the South West Community Care Access Centre. This is achieved through the implementation and evaluation of an integrated Quality Assurance system.

 

Having held progressive senior leadership roles in a healthcare quality environment, the Director of Quality will be well-versed in health care quality improvement, patient safety and risk management. The successful candidate will have demonstrated an ability to lead by exemplifying the South West Community Care Access Centre's vision to deliver outstanding care—every person, every day. The candidate will also support the Client Driven Care concept, build trusting relationships, contributing effectively to a team environment, and will possess exemplary interpersonal skills. Applicants should be prepared at the Masters level (Health or Business Administration or a related discipline) or have an equivalent combination of education and experience.
