Position:           Manager of IT ImplementationFTE:            1.0 –Full-time   
Initial Assignment: 141 Weber Street, Waterloo ON. Regular Day Shift.

Reporting to the Director, Information Systems this position is responsible for ensuring the reliability, integrity, and sustainability of the organizations information and communication technologies.




  • Provides direction, advice into planning, selection, developing, deployment and managing the technology infrastructure and network technical and non-technical issues

  • Participates in the development, evaluation and implementation of system wide technology projects in conjunction with user requirements

  • Directs external contractors/suppliers in the implementation of CCAC projects and services

  • Informs and updates affected stakeholders of any risks or requirements

  • Participates in the development of short and long term goals that contribute to the organization's strategic planning

  • Reviews internal/external Business Processes with the view of optimizing the use of technology within the CCAC

  • Plans out and develops policies and policy updates as related to any CCAC Facility, Communications or Computer Technology

  • Informs and updates Management Team of any risks or requirements that may affect the efficiency and effectiveness of client services

  • Represents the organization on various internal/external committees and meetings

  • Responsible for acquisition of technical hardware as well as support and follow-up

  • Shares responsibility for On call rotation

  • Develop efficient and effective solutions to diverse and complex business needs

  • Other duties as required



  • General University Degree in Computer Science, Systems or Software Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • 5 to 7 years experience  hands on in an information technology and support capacity

  • Experience with the acquisition and management of telecommunication (VOiP) hardware for a multi-use (50 plus), multi-site organization

  • Experience with a multi-user relational database environment and local and wide area network administration

  • 2-3 years Project Management experience and ability to multi-task.  PMP certification desired

  • Microsoft and other external certifications will be considered but not mandatory

  • Understanding of ITIL framework

  • Listens to and understands the customers' needs in order to propose solutions fit for their requirements

  • Strong relationship management skills, including engaging, communicating with and collaborating with stakeholders

  • High level of professionalism and integrity

  • Able to present technical data in non-technical terms to different audiences

  • Excellent organization and conflict resolution skills
