Lisa Tweedy provides strategic leadership, direction and oversight for the development, implementation and evaluation of human capital and organizational development strategies that promote system alignment and enable delivery of patient care. She maintains executive oversight for the ongoing management, planning, direction and evaluation of human resources programs, employee and labour relations services. She is currently leading the implementation of Home and Community Care Support Services’ People Strategy, a two-year plan to engage and empower our workforce to achieve our vision of exceptional care – wherever people call home. With Lisa’s leadership, a positive culture of inclusivity is being fostered that is promoting employee engagement and growth.  

Lisa has collaborated with multiple stakeholder groups over her 28 years in health care. For the last 13 years, she has led Human Resources within our organization, the Local Health Integration Networks’, and previously the Community Care Access Centre at the executive and senior levels, including most recently as Vice President of Human Resources and Organizational Development for Home and Community Care Support Services South East, Central East, Champlain and Toronto Central. A results driven leader, she has led provincial initiatives related to pandemic response and health system transformation, including supporting Home and Community Care Support Services’ health human resources strategy.  

Specializing in human resources law and policy development, with a focus on leadership, she holds two certificates from York University’s Osgoode Hall Law School and LEADS certification from the Canadian College of Health Leaders. Lisa is a designated Certified Human Resources Leader, and a member of the Human Resources Professional Association of Ontario. She holds a Bachelor of Human Resources and Labour Relations degree, with distinction, from Athabasca University.
